I have known Nancy for three years, since the day our girls started preschool. She is strong, beautiful and a wonderful mother. She’ s also a good friend to anyone she meets. I remember when she met Steve, she knew he was the one right away and we were all very happy for her.Steve is a great guy. He is funny and charismatic and you can tell he adores Nancy. A perfect match. They have 6 kids (Steve 5 and Nancy 1) between them and when you are with the new family it all seems seamless, like it was meant to be.
Their wedding day was a lot of fun but also moving. I remember tearing up as I was shooting their first dance because you could feel the love between them there on the dance floor. I was honored to be asked to shoot their wedding and appreciate the help from Mark Bracken of Bracken Photo.
Nancy and Steve congratulations. Here’s your sneak peek followed by a slide show I made of some of our favorites.

Baby Hunter’s parents and I have been friends for 11 years. We have traveled far with them, partied hard with them and shared many of life’s experiences together. I was so happy for them when they told us they were expecting, I cried. I know that this little man has been wanted for a long time. It was a huge honor to be able to take his first pictures. Welcome to the world baby Hunter, we love you. Here’s a sneak peek mom and dad.

It’s a family tradition on Daddy’s side that all men wear argyle socks. He has his first pair.

Nothing could upstage this handsome guy but I did capture a picture of each of his buddies.
This is Lacey. I couldn’t make a move without this sweetheart standing up to come and check out what I was doing with Hunter.

and this is Scout. Sweet Scout is so mellow and such a good girl.

There’s your sneak peek, I really hope you guys enjoy them. Hunter is also the new addition to my blog header.

They are engaged to be married and I couldn’t be happier for them. I met Josh 10 years ago, on my brother’s 21st birthday. Later he became my brother’s roommate and that’s when he began dating Angie. They are the greatest couple and I really enjoy being around them. We always have alot of fun when we’re hanging out.
When talking and planning their session we decided on Forest Park here in St. Louis. It’s a great location and we had lots of different and fun choices, plus they live nearby. We did have to wait for the pouring rain for about 30 minutes and then some extreme heat but we mustered through. Angie claimed before the shoot that they weren’t photogenic. Nothing could be farther from the truth. Here’s a sneak peek of their session.

Beautiful aren’t they!! Congratulations on your engagement Angie and Josh. We had so much fun at your session I can’t wait for the wedding. Also special thanks to my husband for being my assistant on this hot and rainy afternoon.

Annalise is the sweetest little girl. Always has a smile, gives hugs frequently and is just the cutest little thing. She turned 3 this month so I met her, her mommy, her daddy and her baby sister at Forest Park, we had a lot of fun. It was a really hot day and poor Annalise smiled the best she could. She’s such a trooper, here’s a little sneak peek.

Last Monday I was joined by my husband’s cousin Chris and his family. He has a beautiful wife and three adorable girls. I really enjoy hanging out with them and it was an awesome honor that they allowed me to take their family pictures.
We met at Faust Park and basically the rules of the day were relax and whatever happens, happens. Here are some favorites from the session.

My first senior session was a blast. Dottie is so much fun she has a fantastic smile, incredible blue eyes and is a true beauty, inside and out. When I told her she could pick any St. Louis location she immediately replied with Lafayette Square and the graffiti wall near the riverfront. She said that these locations fit her personality the most (fun) and I couldn’t have agreed more.
Dottie isn’t actually a senior in high school anymore she is a freshman at Missouri University in Rolla. She never got around to having senior pictures taken last year so I was thrilled when she asked me. We were joined on her shoot by her boyfriend Zack and her cousin Scott. We had a lot of fun and I teased her about bringing her posse but Zack was so easygoing and Scott was my adopted assistant for the shoot. He definitely has a future career there
. We actually shot some photos at Scott and his partner’s amazing house they redid in a historic neighborhood here in St. Louis.
Now on to the photos cause I know her and her family are dying for a sneak peek.

Thanks Dottie and also thanks to her sister-in-law Angie for the referral. I “heart” referrals.

One of my good friends and her husband asked me to take pictures for them… sure, yeah of course. The pictures were of the 15 year old and 14 year old tri-county volleyball teams. My friends husband coaches the 14 year olds and his good friend coaches the 15 year olds. The tournament was on a Saturday and Sunday and good god it was early but the girls, parents and coaches were so sweet and accommodating. I really had a great time.
My friend is a Photoshop pro so there really wasn’t any need for me to edit them ahead of time, I did a little editing but then turned them over to her. So I really couldn’t wait to play with them for myself. Whoever decided on an orange partition for their volleyball courts should definitely rethink it, it does nothing for people’s skin in photographs

Thanks again guys. Good luck in the rest of your season.
Special thanks to my other friend for letting me borrow her lens (1.8 50mm) it was awesome and exactly what I needed for these tournaments. Looks like I’ll be in the market real soon for one of my own.
