Hello.

I have so many new clients stopping by to check out my site. Well unfortunately there isn’t much to see
I’m a busy mommy with lots of school commitments and it’s really hard to keep up with all of my awesome sessions here. With that said I will try my best to update from time to time with pictures. It’s pretty sad that my last update was in February… sigh. Keeping coming back, I’ll have an update soon.

Now that the holidays are over I can finally blog some favorite pictures from a wedding I shot in November. This was a hugely celebrated wedding, not that all of them aren’t but the bride and groom were two really good friends. The groom was a high school friend of my brother’s who later became his roommate so I’ve known him for quite a while. The wedding took place at the beautiful Trinity Lutheran Church in Soulard and the reception was at Orlando Gardens in South County.

Special thanks to my friend and second photographer for this wedding, Stacey of Anastacia K Photography. She was amazing and tons of help. Thanks to my hubby for being our assistant, without him we couldn’t have gotten most of our amazing shots.
Last but not least thanks to Angie and Josh, your wedding was spectacular and lots of fun.
Baby Willow

The sweetest baby girl was born 10 days late this last December. Her arrival was highly anticipated by her mommy, daddy, grandma’s, grandpa, aunt’s, uncle and by friends. She was worth the wait. I couldn’t wait for this photo shoot. We had a lot of fun that day. Grandma joined us and it was a pleasure to be with Willow, mom and grandma. I felt very honored. Without further ado Baby Willow’s pictures…

I have a lot of catching up to do on my sessions and I plan on working on that but before I do I have something to announce (nothing major). I won’t be taking any session appointments in the month of December. I’m going to use the month to reconnect with my family a little and enjoy the holidays. This doesn’t apply to clients with appointments already. Thanks ahead of time and if you need anything photo related please feel free to contact me and we can talk about availability.

I know it’s been almost a week but the winner was certainly clear. #5 Jillian was the winner!!! Wasn’t she a cutie. I loved every single one of these pictures and like I said I am very glad I didn’t have to vote for a favorite.
Thanks to everyone for voting. Our fall specials are done for the year but with all these indian summer days we’ve been given lately let me know if you’d like to sneak in a family session. I will be at a holiday boutique show here in St. Louis next month and will have a drawing for a free session. If you’d like information you can e-mail me at hjtorbs@sbcglobal.net. Also present at the holiday boutique will be products from Silpada, Sian’s Posh Boutique and etsy seller (and cousin) Livvie Lee. Livvie Lee will also have a drawing that night for a $10 credit for her store. It’s an opportunity to do a little selling, a little buying, a little wine drinking and a little gossiping

Allie is a beautiful, sweet, friendly and smart senior at Lutheran South. I always compliment her and her parents on what a fantastic young woman she is becoming we are all huge fans of this homecoming queen. Not only myself but my children too, she’s our favorite babysitter. We had a lot of fun during her session. Her mom, brother and sister joined us on our walk through Forest Park. I was very excited to take pictures for The Bibers. My son and their son are in preschool together and are inseparable, the best of friends and their daughter is a very sweet little girl. It’s always a lot of fun to take pictures for those you know, there’s a personal level that helps everyone relax and Becky and Paul are two of the greatest people I know. Here’s a sneak peek from their session in Forest Park.

When Kelly called to schedule her session I was a little nervous. She was the first session for someone I did not know and it was for a larger group of people. But once we met at the Muny here in St. Louis I was right at ease. Kelly is very friendly and easy going plus she has a wonderful extended family. The session is a gift to her fantastic mother in law, Eileen. She just retired this last spring from teaching.
We had great weather that day and had a lot of fun walking around the park for pictures. Here’s a sneak peek of their session.

We snuck a picture in for grandpa’s desk…. how cute is that!!!

Thanks again for a great afternoon Kelly and Happy Retirement to Eileen!!!!
Heather and Scott’s Wedding

I had the honor of photographing this awesome couples wedding. It was a beautiful, small affair in the hills of Hermann at the bed and breakfast called The Stone Giraffe. Heather and Scott met through their daughters playing soccer together, and the details of their story are very touching. When you meet them you just know that they are meant for each other. Here’s a sneak peek of their big day.

Thank you Heather and Scott for including us on your wedding day. We were honored to be there.
